Get ready to play with all-ages sports activities at Summer Live

Run, jump, throw and play with a host of all-ages sports activities at Summer Live, a free festival in Stanley Park on July 8, 9, 10, 2011 to celebrate Vancouver’s 125th anniversary. All sports activities are free and family-friendly, with lots of opportunities for children and youth to get active and play on the fields at Brockton Point in Stanley Park.

Youth Volleyball Tournament – Ages 13-18
July 9
Register your team now to play outdoor grass volleyball at one of Vancouver’s coolest locations, Brockton Oval in Stanley Park! The tournament will feature great prizes for all players. Register here

Old School Sports Day – Ages 5-12 (youths and adults welcome!)

Favourites like wheelbarrow race, egg and spoon race, tug of war, three legged race plus new and imaginative Vancouver 125-inspired games will test your fun-o-meter.

Mini Soccer Drop in – All ages
July 8
Kick off the Vancouver 125 celebrations by playing mini-soccer at the Brockton Oval! Games are friendly and supervised.

Wheelchair Rugby Demonstration – All ages

Want to play wheelchair sports? Learn from wheelchair athletes as they demonstrate how to play wheelchair rugby and share their stories of being physically active.

Sport Clinics for Lacrosse, Golf, Tennis and Badminton – All ages
July 8, 9, 10
This is your chance to try a new sport with professional athletes or to get tips on strengthening your skill and agility. Meet and play with provincial and national athletes from Sport BC and North America Outgames in an incredible setting.

Run Jump Throw (Athletic skills) – Ages 5-12

Its fun, it’s simple and kids love it! Running, jumping and throwing are the key to all basic sport development.
