DOXA Documentary Film Festival’s Spotlight on Vancouver will feature films that capture the city’s mythologies, images, and people through the distinct perspectives of filmmakers, both past and present. Three different programming streams, including a retrospective on the late filmmaker Allan King, a selection of films devoted to First Nations filmmakers, and archival and contemporary views of the city itself, will give rise to dialogue about the changing nature of place and will offer a fully realized portrait of Vancouver.
