Mrs Barbara McDowell has submitted a series of postcards mailed from Vancouver by Shafto Adair to his wife, son and daughter in Ireland in 1911.
The face of this postcard shows a view from Kitsilano. Shafto marked where he was living in a tent (on Kits Beach?) with an X.
The card reads:
“My Darling Willis,
“I am sending you some postcards. I was glad to get your letter & to hear you are back with Mummy. I hope you are a good boy & learning your lessons. This card shows where I am living in a tent. I have marked the place with a X.”
