Vancouver will be alive with celebrations all throughout the 125th anniversary year and all residents and visitors are encouraged to take advantage of free civic celebrations, special events, cultural programming and other activities throughout the year.

Volunteer for Vancouver 125

Volunteers will play a key role in the Vancouver 125 celebrations this summer.
We are currently looking for enthusiastic individuals to volunteer at the upcoming Summer Live event that will take place in Stanley Park on July 8, 9 and 10, 2011 to celebrate Vancouver’s 125th anniversary.

An estimated 800 volunteers are needed for the three-day Summer Live celebration at Stanley Park to fill a variety of positions leading up to and throughout the three-day event, such as:

• Bike valet service (bicycle parking);
• Way-finders to help guide pedestrians and cyclists;
• Green team volunteers to assist with recycling and keeping Stanley Park clean;
• Hosts to greet audience members and provide information about the event;
• Volunteers to assist with arts and crafts / children’s programming;
• Team leaders to help lead and coordinate volunteer teams.
